JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The video attached to this story is from a previous, related story on the day of the shooting.
One of the two men killed in a shooting on the Northside on Oct. 6 was an Uber driver giving a ride, sources tell First Coast News.
Bryant Scott Grunt, 31, was working when he and his passenger were shot to death, Grunt’s friend said.

Police were called to the 7400 block of Kylan Drive West in response to reported gunfire at about 11:45 p.m.
Grunt was staying at an Extended Stay America hotel in Jacksonville where he was caring for his mother and two siblings, a hotel manager told First Coast News. He was staying there for about six months, the manager said.
“Our hearts ache for the victims of this horrific attack, and their loved ones continue to be in our thoughts. We are supporting law enforcement with their investigation and hope those responsible are brought to justice swiftly,” an Uber spokesperson said in a statement to First Coast News.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office only identified the two victims in the vehicle as “two adult males” who were found unresponsive inside a vehicle. “Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded and pronounced both victims deceased,” a JSO new release states.
JSO declined to give the names of the victims and wouldn’t confirm that one of them was an Uber driver.
Police said at the time that the circumstances surrounding the deaths and the relationship between the two men were unknown.
