Miami Dolphins’ standout receiver Tyreek Hill experienced a seemingly devastating knee injury during Monday Night Football, prompting urgent transportation to a hospital.
Fans watched in disbelief as Hill sustained a knee injury that initial observations suggest is as severe as it appeared live. The incident took place in the early moments of the third quarter when Hill grabbed a 10-yard pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. As he approached the sideline, Jets safety Malachi Moore attempted a tackle by grabbing Hill’s leg. Unfortunately, the impact resulted in Hill’s leg twisting in an unnatural manner.
Hill instantly reached for his leg, prompting medical personnel to swiftly enter the field. Hill’s mother also made her way to the field to assist her son. After stabilizing Hill’s leg, he was transported off the field and to the hospital.
The veteran receiver clapped and smiled and waved to the crowd as he was being taken off the field.
While no official statement has been released on Hill’s condition, multiple reports indicate that the Dolphins fear he dislocated his knee.
The Dolphins held on to earn their first win of the year, defeating the Jets 27-21.
