Further heightening tensions, Iran has claimed that its naval forces have attacked a U.S. tanker in the northern Persian Gulf.
In Washington, President Donald Trump has suggested that the conflict with Iran might extend for four to five weeks, though he cautioned that the duration could potentially be much longer. The uncertainty of the situation underscores the complexity and potential for prolonged engagement.
