There is not any news reported regarding a shooting case in Florida today. Although there were some cases reported regarding gun violence a few days ago, none of them indicated that the victim could be the athlete. 

Some source has claimed that he died of gunshots, but neither any media outlet nor police has talked about this matter. The only information available to everyone is that he has passed away. 

Besides, many people are hoping that such a painful incident may not have occurred to him because it would hurt his family more and think who would hold a grudge against him.

However, he was a professional basketball player for Michigan State University in college. His professional career started after the Atlanta Hawks selected him in the 2014 NBA draft.

After a year, he was transferred to the Minnesota Timberwolves in return for a future first-round pick, as per his Wikipedia.

Likewise, he signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic on August 21, 2017. And he joined Panathinaikos in Greece for the remainder of the 2017–18 season on February 5, 2018.

After that, the last he played was with Juventus Utena as he parted ways with them in February this year.
