A picturesque selfie spot at Red Rock Canyon turned chaotic when a minor disagreement spiraled into a Nevada woman launching into a verbal attack on an Italian tourist.
The woman’s outburst, which reportedly began due to her impatience with the tourist’s prolonged photo session at the scenic area, was caught on camera and quickly made its way to social media platforms.
The video captured the woman repeatedly accusing the tourist of assault while bystanders, bewildered by the escalating scene, could be seen laughing at the unfolding drama.
“She just spit on me now,” the woman is heard shouting in the video. “That is assault.”
In contrast, the tourist rejected the allegations, claiming the woman—who has been dubbed the “first Karen of 2026” by social media users—had initially “kicked” her.
“No. I did not,” the woman responded defensively.
‘Everybody’s here,’ she added. ‘Are you that ignorant, where you don’t understand?’
A woman was deemed the ‘first Karen of 2026’ after her explosive outburst towards a tourist
The woman repeatedly accused the visitor of ‘assault’ and claimed that she had pushed and spit on her
The video showed the so-called Karen berating the tourist and calling her ‘pathetic,’ just inches from her face.
A younger woman tried to calm down the aggressor as her outburst grew louder, but to no avail.
When shouting failed to move the visitor, the woman sat in the frame and attempted to derail the photo opportunity.
‘I’ll just sit here for as long as I want,’ she screamed. ‘You got that, lady?’
At one point, she motioned to the crowd while claiming she had been assaulted.
‘He is a lawyer,’ the woman said, pointing to someone off-frame.
The tourist, who had been calmly sitting on a rock, could barely be heard during the nearly two-minute clip.
She told the woman: ‘You kicked me.’

The tourist claimed that the so-called Karen had ‘kicked’ her first, as the woman told her that she could be ‘arrested’ for the alleged assault
That only set off the so-called Karen further, as she crouched down to the tourist’s eye level to keep berating her.
‘You’re rude and obnoxious,’ she yelled.
The woman also implied that the tourist could have injured her, although the context was unclear.
‘I don’t know who the hell you think you are,’ the woman said. ‘But if I would have fallen…’
Footage of the dramatic argument was caught at Red Rock Canyon, a scenic area about 15 miles west of Las Vegas known for its gorgeous red sandstone formations.
She then asked the crowd watching the outburst if they had seen the tourist ‘push’ her.
‘That’s assault,’ she insisted, although the video did not show any instances of physicality between both women.
At that point, though, the tourist had enough of the Karen’s gripes and appeared to spit in her face.
Video of the confrontation ended with the tourist leaving the Red Rock selfie spot while the Colorado Karen fumed
The shocked woman again called her ‘pathetic’ and even invoked her military background – despite the squabble having broken out over a selfie spot.
‘I have served in the freakin’ Army,’ she said.
The tourist was then told by the woman that ‘you can be arrested’ for the alleged assault.
‘Sorry everybody, but I’m not tolerating this,’ the woman the crowd.
‘She was sitting here taking pictures as if she belonged with some glamour magazine,’ she added.
The footage ended with the tourist leaving the selfie spot as the so-called Karen seethed.
