A woman is dead and a man injured after a stabbing that JSO called an “isolated domestic violence incident” between the two people.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman was stabbed to death in Arlington Sunday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Around 3:20 a.m. in the 8000 block of Arlington Expressway, officers found a woman with multiple stab wounds and a man with stab wounds to his leg, the agency said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. The man was listed in critical condition, taken to the hospital and is now stable, JSO said. The ages of both are around the 30s, JSO said.
There was one witness inside the apartment who was being interviewed. JSO said the circumstances behind the stabbing are unknown but that it was an “isolated domestic violence incident.”
JSO’s Sgt. Highfill said the agency believes the incident was between the man and the woman. There are no outstanding suspects, according to JSO.
