JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Ballad Health has observed an uptick in flu cases across the region. Jamie Swift, who serves as the chief infection prevention officer for Ballad Health, reported that both Influenza A and B are currently prevalent. Notably, cases of Influenza B are appearing in greater numbers compared to previous years. “It’s possible to contract the flu twice,” Swift noted, emphasizing the importance of remaining vigilant against the illness.
