() — A search is underway for a Phoenix yoga instructor who went missing after a blind date more than a month ago.
On February 22, Marcus Freiberger, a 45-year-old man, was last spotted in a nearby parking garage. The day before, he was expected to meet someone on a blind date, but it is uncertain if the meeting actually took place.
Freiberger was teaching classes at Melrose Yoga for a few months and was becoming a popular instructor at the studio.
His father, Dutch Freiberger, described him as a charming young man who is well-liked by many. According to Dutch, Marcus is someone who easily attracts others with his friendly personality.
His father said Marcus had a history of substance abuse and that he was between apartments before he went missing.
Freiberger’s dog, Thomas, was left alone for several days. His father said it was something he would never do.
Forrest Kruger, the owner of Melrose Yoga, told the outlet Freiberger was an excellent instructor and had a lot of friends.
Questions arise about Marcus’s whereabouts and well-being. Kruger expressed concern about his son’s sudden disappearance, especially when things seemed to be going well for him and he was making strides in life, leading to his happiness.
Freiberger was last seen driving a 2021 white GMC Sierra pickup truck with an Arizona license plate reading 3MA66L.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department.
