Zac Efron fans have been pleasantly surprised by his new look – with many declaring that he looks better than ever before.

The 37-year-old actor is currently working on the new movie Judgement Day, featuring co-stars such as Will Ferrell, Regina Hall, Jimmy Tatro, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

The storyline centers around a reality TV judge who finds himself being held hostage on live television by a man resentful over being sent to prison, blaming the judge for his downfall.

In a photo taken from the set, Zac posed alongside a member of the crew backstage.

Dressed in a blood-spattered white vest top, he flashed his huge biceps and fake tattoos.

Zac also appeared to debut a more mature hairstyle, with visible salt and pepper color coming through on the sides.

And viewers were quick to point out that his jaw looked more chiseled and that he looks ‘happier and healthier.’  

It didn’t take long for the photo to circulate on social media, where fans obsessed over his good looks.

The 37-year-old actor has been sending fans wild after a photo emerged of him on the set of Judgement Day 

Sharing thoughts on Reddit, one user commented: “He looks much better here compared to how he looked when Iron Claw was released, especially after having surgery on his jaw or something like that. Glad to see it.”

Another added: ‘This might be the best he’s ever looked? Wow.’

‘Good to see him looking better, I don’t even care what he did to make it that way,’ wrote a third.

A fourth added: ‘Looking good per usual.’

Zac’s appearance has changed a lot in recent years and he has previously been hit by cosmetic surgery rumors.

However, he has insisted the masseter muscles on the inside of his face and jaw ‘compensated’ for his injury, leading to his changed shape and has denied going under the knife. 

In December, Zac was seen sporting a very different look when he was seen on the set of his upcoming thriller Famous.

At the time, he appeared to have a wider jaw and more angular facial features.

However, in 2023, Zac looked unrecognizable as he promoted his film, The Iron Claw. 

At the time, many questioned what the child star had done to his face, however, they were reminded of his previous shattered jaw.

In 2022, Zac featured on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine, and explained what happened to his face.

In the interview, he revealed that he had a nasty accident at home that caused the massive transformation in his face.

The star recalled how he slipped on a pair of socks while running at his home – causing him to smash his chin into a granite fountain.

Zac said that when he was injured, the masseter muscles on the inside of his face and jaw then ‘compensated’ for his injury causing them to grow in size – hence his remarkable transformation.

He added: ‘The masseters just grew. They just got really, really big.’

The High School Musical star also claimed to not know that he was a huge talking point on social media and had in fact gone viral for his different-looking jaw, until his mother called to ask if he had gone under the knife.

‘If I valued what other people thought of me to the extent that they may think I do,’ he told the magazine, ‘I definitely wouldn’t be able to do this work.’
