New South Wales has reported 127 new coronavirus cases overnight, including three crew members who were medically evacuated from a luxury cruise ship off Sydney’s coast.
NSW Health said there are 1918 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state.
Of this number, 26 are in intensive care units, with 13 of the cases requiring ventilators at this stage.
Cruise ship passengers continue to make up the state’s highest confirmed number of cases.
There are 189 cases from the Ruby Princess, 66 cases from the Ovation of the Seas, 26 cases from the Voyager of the Seas and two new cases from the Celebrity Solstice.
Yesterday a team of one doctor and four paramedics transferred three crew members from the Voyager of the Seas who are thought to have the virus. They have been moved to RPA Hospital.
