If you’ve ever dreamed of sinking a putt like Happy Gilmore, now’s your chance — slap shot and all.

In anticipation of the forthcoming release of Happy Gilmore 2, Callaway’s Odyssey Golf has unveiled something fans have eagerly awaited for nearly 30 years: an actual version of Happy’s iconic hockey stick putter. This is the same putter used by Adam Sandler’s character to outshine Shooter McGavin (played by Christopher McDonald) and clinch the Tour Championship in the beloved 1996 golf comedy. However, this real-life version will be available only in limited quantities.

Happy Gilmore 2, which arrives on Netflix July 25, brings Sandler back as the lovable, rage-prone hockey player turned unlikely golf hero.

Though the plot details are still a secret, the sequel is anticipated to bring back familiar characters — including McDonald’s Shooter McGavin — and dive into a new wave of golfing mayhem. This marks Sandler’s first true sequel to one of his original comedic hits, and fans, who nostalgically recall lines like “It’s all in the hips,” are filled with anticipation.

Paying homage to the original film’s legacy, Odyssey’s newly enhanced hockey stick putter will also feature in the sequel, tailored for those fans wanting to emulate Happy’s style. Standing at 44 inches with a 57° lie angle and an extensive 21-inch grip, the specs are closer to a driver than a traditional putter. It’s crafted to help fans replicate Happy’s distinctive slap-shot putting style, despite not being tournament legal — Callaway has confirmed it doesn’t meet the official Rules of Golf requirements.

Still, that probably won’t stop fans from showing it off — especially since it’s packed with features like Odyssey’s largest-ever White Hot insert, extra heel/toe inserts for feel, and a custom tube sock headcover embroidered with “Happy Gilmore” and the classic quote: “Just tap it in.”

And because one throwback wasn’t enough, Callaway is also launching a limited-edition box of Chrome Tour golf balls, featuring iconic quotes and hockey-themed designs straight from the film — including “It’s all in the hips” and “Just tap it in.”

“We’re thrilled to bring one of the most iconic golf movie props into the real world,” said Callaway VP of Global Marketing Nick McInally, according to Golf.com. “And to do it in tandem with the release of Happy Gilmore 2 makes it all the more special.”

Odyssey’s Hockey Stick Putter launches Friday, July 25, alongside Happy Gilmore 2‘s debut on Netflix, for $499.99. The limited-edition golf balls drop earlier, on Friday, July 11, for $49.99, while supplies last.
