Roger Lazaro Aguilera Case Update -What Happened To Him?
Rogel Aguilera-Mederos was given a 110-year sentence for crashing into halted traffic on a Colorado freeway two years ago, killing four people and wounding another.
He alleged his brakes failed on the downward incline, but the chief judge replied that his hands were tied by legislation approved by state lawmakers that forced him to sentence him.
The judge added that he wouldn’t run those sentences concurrently if he had the discretion or thought he had the authority.
During the sentencing, Rogel sobbed as he spoke. He apologized and asked for forgiveness from the victims’ families, saying he had no intention of hurting or killing anyone.
