Francois Legeret Wikipedia

After almost ten years behind bars at the Bochuz Penitentiary in the plain of the Orbe, where he was serving a life sentence for the triple homicide of his mother Ruth, his mother’s friend Marina Studer, and his sister Marie-José that was committed on December 24, 2005, in Vevey, François Légeret was found guilty on February 2, 2005.

Real estate agent and his friend Marlène Curtet says, “François Légeret is disgusted and furious.” When she sold one of his two homes in Rue, in the canton of Fribourg, in 2008, she first encountered him. Later, she established a group to stand up for him.

Is He On Prison? Arrest And Charge

At the end of December 2005 in Vevey (VD), François Légeret was found guilty of the murders of his mother, her companion, and his sister. He was sentenced to life in prison. He is therefore not entitled to any of his sister’s inheritance.

The Federal Court rejected his appeal, which questioned how the victim’s wealth was divided. (TF). Given that he was unworthy of inheriting, the justice had implicitly presumed that the murderer lacked party status.

His numerous petitions for a review of his trial have all been rejected. Even the European Court of Human Rights rejected his 2013 sentence appeal as unreceivable.

Appeal Rejected

In a decision released on Thursday, the Federal Court denied his appeal. The prisoner was to be transferred in the hopes that he would become less resistant to mental or criminological knowledge. François Légeret, who has consistently maintained his innocence, declines to speak with experts because he thinks doing so would be an admission of guilt.

Close To His Friends

François Légeret argued against being transferred to Thorberg in his appeal and requested to go back to the Etablissements de laplaine de l’Orbe (EPO), where he had been held before traveling to Gorgier, in order to be near his counsel, friends, and companion. Additionally, he preferred the Open or Closed Colony to his current heightened security environment.

The Court of Criminal Law mentions the convicted person’s consistent reluctance to take part in any expertise in its recitals. The sentence enforcement officials are unable to evaluate the risks of recidivism and running away when confronted with this mentality.

Limited Choice

The federal justices also point out that, despite Thorberg being a member of the Concordat of Northwestern and Central Switzerland, the OEP considered distance when making its decision. Only the EEPB, the EPOs (which were empty), and the penitentiary of La Stampa in Ticino were considered to be maximum security prisons under the Latin Concordat.

The Vaud justice sentenced François Légeret to life in prison in 2010 for the 2005 slayings of his mother, her sister, and two friends, whose bodies have never been discovered.
