Humza Yousaf is a Scottish politician, who was born on 7 April 1985. He takes part in the University of Glasgow, earning an MA (Masters in Arts) in politics. Prior to becoming a mainstream politician, he served as a legislative assistant for the then First Minister Alex Salmond.

Yousaf also served under the then Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and also worked in many junior ministerial roles.
