During an interview with the Film Companion, the actor revealed that he became very reclusive while filming Chandu Champion, as the role demanded intense training, workshops, and dietary changes. Kartik explained that he had to dedicate himself completely to embody the character of Murlikant Petkar, even if it meant leading an isolated life. He mentioned, “I was living an anti-social life and I started to enjoy it as I worked on my physical transformation for the role.”

Kartik said that when he went to the set to shoot his next film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, a comedy drama movie he had to get out of his Chandu Champion zone.
Actor said, Finding the right balance was hard, he further stated. “I even double-checked with him. As I started shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa and did first scene, I was told that my energy had dropped and I needed to increase it.” He continued, stating that he kept trying to raise his energy but felt like he was acting too much.
