Border 2: ‘India’s Biggest War Film’, Makers made official announcement; Sunny Deol to return after 27 year in upcoming film

Sunny Deol’s movie Border celebrated its 27th anniversary on June 13, 2024, having been originally released on the same date in 1997. To mark this milestone, Sunny Deol and the film’s producers revealed plans for a sequel, aptly titled ‘Border 2’. In this upcoming film, Deol will reprise his role as an Indian army officer, with T-series and JP Films on board as the producers.

To formally announce Border 2, Sunny Deol and the film’s creators shared a post on their social media platforms. They unveiled a video featuring Deol’s voiceover, where he declares, “27 years ago, a soldier made a promise to return, and now he is coming back to salute the soil of India once again.” The announcement trailer also dubbed Border 2 as “India’s Biggest War Film”.

While there had been some speculation in the media about a potential sequel to the Border film, the details were shrouded in secrecy until the official confirmation by the film’s makers. This kept the project as a mysterious rumor until the official announcement.

Reaction of Fans and Bollywood Star on The announcement of Border 2

Some bollywood stars have reacted to the announcement of Border 2. One of them is Animal film fame Bobby Deol who is also the brother of Sunny Deol, he showed his excitement by commenting fire emojis on the post made by Sunny Deol, it stated that Bobby Deol is also excited for the announced film. Actors like Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff and more also showed their excitement for Border 2, they both were also casted for the border film released in 1997.  

Many fans also showed their excitement about the film, some fans commented on the announcement post that they were waiting for this sequel since the release of the Border movie. Some of the fans also commented that they are excited to see Sunny Deol again in the role of an army officer.
