Mirza Baig is one of the victims of the Astrowolrd tragedy that took place on 5 November 2021.

He died while protecting his fiancee Olivia Swingle from the incident. While the American rapper and record producer Travis Scoot was performing live for the two-day music festival in Huston at NRG Park, he lost his life as the crowd of about fifty thousand went amok.

The tragedy left Mirza, along with seven others dead and hundreds injured. Other victims were John Hilgert (14), Brianna Rodriguez (16), Axel Acosta (21), Rudy Peña (23), Franco Patiño (21), Jacob Jurinke (20), and Madison Dubiski (23).

Although the incident, at first glance, seems like it happened due to people getting overexcited, the sources do say that the drugs might be involved.

Mirza Baig is one of the eight people who died at Travis Scott’s music festival.

Died at the age of 27 years, the cause was probably compressive asphyxiation. Mirza’s brother, Basil Mirza Baig, did tell what happened at the festival with a social media post, in which he stated that the people walked and stomped while the others pushed and shoved.

Most of his personal information remains hidden, but we know that he was a district manager at one of the branches of AT&T in Dallas. He never talked much about his private matters. Nonetheless, his Instagram bio does say that he is an artist.

Mirza was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, who loved music and games. Whatsmore, he had an at-home studio.

His family members also said that he had a huge heart. As for his personality, he was goofy and outgoing.

Following his death, the Baig family held a traditional Muslim funeral on Sunday afternoon at the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park located in Colleyville.

Mirza Baig Fiance

As for Mirza Baig’s fiance, she is Oliver Swingle.

Mirza’s 29-year-old fiance successfully got out of the Astroworld incident, but he lost his life in the process.

In a news conference, his younger brother, Basil Mirza Baig, said that his brother’s finance got caught in the crowd. He further added that the entire family was in pain, and he wanted all the supporters to empathize and pray for the family.

Oliver also said she was in hell and wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for Mirza.
