Georgia Taylor played by Toyah in the British soap opera Coronation Street, has longed to be a mother. The series revealed that all plans for Toyah and Peter to become pregnant have failed.
Toyah failed to get pregnant through the IVF method, she then decided to use a surrogate, Jacqui Ainsworth (Reanne Farley), who later miscarried.
Toyah was not ready to reveal the miscarriage to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), she decided to strike a deal with Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) to pass off her newborn daughter Susie as the baby Jacqui had carried, but the guilt of separating mother and daughter led her to return Susie to Eva.
Taylor discussing what will happen in the next episode, Toyah will grief over Jacqui’s miscarriage.
Taylor discussing the ordeal said this; “I think what’s actually really sad about it – and this will be dealt with later down the line – is that Toyah hasn’t properly grieved for the baby that she’s lost”.
“The surrogate miscarried Toyah and Peter’s biological child, and Toyah’s just thrown herself into this crazy plan with Eva. I don’t think she’s really confronted her grief, so there’s a lot of stuff that still needs to be resolved.”
