University of Chicago student Dennis Zheng’s murderer Alton Spann has been arrested. Here is every update.
Alton Spann is a murder suspect. He has been charged with the murder of a University graduate, Dennis Shaoxiong Zheng this week.
Spann was on the police radar since Wednesday, November 10. Surveillance videos were used to track down his movements.
Dennis Zheng Murderer- Who Is Alton Spann?
Alton Spann is 18 years of age and is a convicted killer of an innocent man.
He also faces charges related to armed robbery and the use of an unlawful weapon.
Still, at a very young age, Spann has been described as a man wearing a mask. He was spotted in a black hooded sweatshirt.
Locals had last seen him in a black sports car in the 900 block of East 54th Place. He is a young African-American male.
Further details on Alton Spann are yet to be released by the police officials. He doesn’t appear to have any prior criminal histories.
The victim was a 24-year-old student from the University of Chicago. He was of Chinese descent and new in Chicago.
Dennis Shaoxiong Zheng was a bright student. He was completing his master’s degree in statistics.

University of Chicago Student Dennis Zheng Murderer Arrested
Dennis Shaoxiong Zheng was shot to death on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
According to reports, Zhen was arriving home from his class. The situation suddenly went into chaos after a robbery was announced by Spann.
Zheng was shot in his torso by Alton Spann, who also robbed his belongings.
The killer then fled using a black Ford Mustang as recorded in the private camera.
The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was announced dead.
Alton Spann has been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and two counts of using unlawful weapons.
University of Chicago Announce Safety Plans
On Thursday, November 11, 2021, The University of Chicago has announced an expanded safety plans.
The University is planning to increase the Police patrols after the increase of violence in the city.
Departments will also work together on robbery missions. They are planning to increase traffic enforcement in high pedestrian areas.
