Who is Bianna Golodryga?

Born Bianna Vitalievna Golodryga on the 15th June 1978, in  Căușeni, then the Moldavan Soviet Socialist Republic and which is now the independent state of Moldova, she is a journalist, best known to the world for her extensive work for CBS News as a correspondent. Career Beginning

Bianna decided not to pursue journalism as a professional career after college, and instead became focused on finding a spot in the corporate world. She started off as a licensed trader with a few companies, but after the big drop and financial crisis of the late ‘90s, she was ready to pursue journalism. Inspired by the work of Maria Bartiromo and her work on CNBC, Bianna called the station several times, but was denied when asked about job opportunities. Despite these setbacks, Bianan didn’t give up and in 2001 her persistence paid off, as she was offered a job at CBC, being named producer at the station, a position she held for the next six years.
