    Christina Clark is a former Canadian politician who served as British Columbia’s 35th premiere from 2011 to 2017. 

    Clark was elected to the legislature for the first time in 1996, representing the Port Moody-Burnaby Mountain riding.

    For the following five years, Calrk was the Official Opposition critic for the environment, children and families, and public service.

    Christy Clark was previously married to politician Mark Marissen. Clark and her then-husband Mark Marissen had their only child, Hamish Marissen-Clark, in 2001.

    Mark Allan Marissen is a political strategist and the founder of Burrard Strategy Inc., a strategic communications agency.

    Marissen is also a Senior Advisor at McMillan Vantage Policy Group, a Canadian commercial legal firm linked with McMillan LLP.

    Mr. Marissen just declared himself a mayoral contender in Vancouver. He will run for the Progress Vancouver nomination, the new name/brand for YES Vancouver. The election will be held in the fall of 2022.

    Marissen was a crucial figure in B.C. Premier Christy Clark’s victorious 2013 provincial election campaign.

    Christy was sworn in as Premier of British Columbia on March 14, 2011, following winning the British Columbia Liberal Party’s leadership election on February 26, 2011.

    Christy was the second woman to serve as Premier of British Columbia (B.C.), following Rita Johnston in 1991.

    In addition, she was the first female premier in Canada to lead her party to a majority of seats in two general elections in a row.

    While she lost her seat in her first election, she led the B.C. Liberals to an additional five seats in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, giving them a more significant majority.

    Following that, a member of the Liberal Party caucus stepped down so that a by-election could be held in riding to give her a seat in the House.

    Christy Clark Age 

    Christy was born on October 29, 1965. So she is currently 56 years old. 

    Clark is the daughter of Mavis Audrey and Jim Clark and was born in Burnaby, British Columbia.

    Clark attended Simon Fraser University (SFU), the Sorbonne in France, and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland to study political science and religious studies after graduating from Burnaby South Senior Secondary.
