Tottenham’s Champions League ambitions were hit hard by Fulham as Marco Silva’s side starred in a 3-0 home win at Craven Cottage.

A week after thumping European rivals Aston Villa 4-0, Tottenham came unstuck against a plucky Fulham striving for the top half of the table.

Spurs would have leapfrogged Aston Villa into the Premier League’s top four with a win and manager Ange Postecoglou sarcastically fumed during his post-match tunnel interview.

Mail Sport gives their playing ratings from the Craven Cottage encounter.

Fulham (4-2-3-1):

Leno 6

Produced some solid saves that gave Fulham a platform to build on and was effective in his distribution throughout.

Timothy Castagne 7

Assisted Sasa Lukic with a wonderful cross as the forward scored his first goal for the club. Enjoyed a comfortable afternoon defensively against Tottenham.

Calvin Bassey 7

Produced a fine performance that largely helped Fulham claim a valuable clean-sheet win. Recovered well from a previous horror performance in the reverse fixture.

Tosin Adarabioyo 6

Was the less effective Fulham centre-back but helped keep Tottenham at bay with some good positioning and man-marking.

Antonee Robinson 7.5

Was one of the star’s of the afternoon as he marvelled at both ends of the pitch with threatening offensive work and was equally excellent when defending. Continuously won his battle with Dejan Kulusevski.

Joao Paulinha 6.5

Was linked with a big summer move and is beginning to show the form that could put him in line with another one at the end of this season. Broke up play in midfield but picked up a predictable yellow card.

Sasa Lukic 7.5

Made a host of dangerous runs into Tottenham’s box and was eventually rewarded with a first goal for the club that all-but settled the match outcome.

Alex Iwobi 7

Cut holes in Tottenham’s defence but wasn’t able to carve out any clear-cut shooting opportunities for himself.

Andreas Pereira 7.5

Imposed himself on the game as a creator in midfield before going off injured that could scupper his plans to feature in the upcoming Brazil international squad.

Willian 6

Roamed around the pitch all afternoon and did well to avoid the aggressive defending of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Rodrigo Muniz 8

No player has scored more goals in the Premier League since February than Muniz as he grabbed his eighth goal of the season.

Manager: Marco Silva 8.5

The Fulham boss identified the weaknesses of Tottenham’s European chasing side and got his players to execute his game plan perfectly. Deserved victory.

Guglielmo Vicario 5

Was helpless to deny either of Fulham’s strikes and it would have been more but for the Italian’s intervention.

Pedro Porro 5

Failed to stop Robinson from breaking into Tottenham’s defensive third and putting dangerous crosses into the box on what was a tough afternoon.

Cristian Romero 6.5

Romero was the best out of a bad bunch of defenders on what was a miserable day. Made the odd clearance but looked uncomfortable throughout.

Radu Dragusin 6

Won’t want to remember his first Premier League start for Tottenham in a hurry as he failed to get a grip of Fulham goalscorer Muniz  throughout.

Destiny Udogie 5

Was an attacking threat when the game was still goalless but his effectiveness began to wane as Fulham took control of the game.

Pape Matar Sarr 6

Sloppy in possession and not at his usual best when attempting to link-up play between defence and attack as Palhinha man-marshalled him around the pitch.

Yves Bissouma 5

Torrid afternoon for the 27-year-old as Fulham ran rings around him across 100 minutes of action. Never got a grip of the game.

Dejan Kulusevski 5.5

Lacked the potency he has shown so often for Spurs this season and continuously lost his footrace against Robinson who dominated the battle.

James Maddison 5

Tried his hardest but struggled to find the key creative cutting edge to put Fulham’s defence in any serious problems. Will hope to be better with the England squad next week.

Brennan Johnson 4.5

The Wales international was too predictable with the ball at his feet as Fulham stole possession back countless times and worked through the gears quickly to counter.

Son Heung-min 5.5

Wasted an early chance to give the visitors the lead at their cross-city rivals and cut a frustrated figure throughout the afternoon.

Manager: Ange Postecoglou

Cut a spikey figure in his post-match tunnel interview and it’s clear to see why as his team were easily overturned by Fulham.
