Bill and Hillary Clinton will be deposed this week over their ties to Jeffrey Epstein , as Republicans prepare to grill the pair on the [child predator's] explosive new files. Clinton's historic deposition Friday will be the first time a former president has been compelled to testify in a congressional investigation against his will. Hillary testifies Thursday. The pair finally agreed after being threatened with contempt charges. Clinton will be questioned over his relationship with the financier after files released by the Justice Department last month revealed new depths of their friendship which spanned the early 1990s and into the early 2000s. The most damning evidence centers around Clinton's flights on Epstein's private jet, which the ex-president claims were only ever related to his charitable work.

The political sphere is stirring as Bill and Hillary Clinton prepare to face intense scrutiny this week regarding their connections to Jeffrey Epstein. Both will be deposed as part of a congressional investigation that aims to delve into their ties with the late financier. Notably, Bill Clinton’s scheduled deposition on Friday marks a historic moment, being the first instance where a former president is compelled to testify against his wishes in such an inquiry. Hillary Clinton is set to testify on Thursday, following their agreement to cooperate after facing the threat of contempt charges.

GOP Highlights Pool and Jet Images From Epstein files

Republicans will also zero in on new photos in the files, which showed Clinton swimming with Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell , and lounging in a hot tub with another unidentified woman. Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida told the Daily Mail: 'Bill in a pool, Bill on the plane, I think there needs to be a comprehensive review.' 'I think what the American people are looking for right now is true accountability from people in power who were a part of sexualizing and abusing young women,' he added. Clinton denies all wrongdoing, as does Hillary, who claims that she never met Epstein but acknowledges meeting Maxwell on several occasions .

Central to the investigation are the files released by the Justice Department last month, which shed new light on the depth of the Clintons’ association with Epstein. These documents trace their links back to the early 1990s through the early 2000s. Particularly incriminating are records of Bill Clinton’s numerous flights on Epstein’s private jet—flights that Clinton has consistently asserted were solely for charitable endeavors.

Republicans anticipate the veteran politicians, no strangers to allegations of impropriety, to be combative witnesses. Rep. John McGuire of Virginia said: 'No matter what we do, I think they are going to plead the fifth or play games, but we are going to give them the facts and expose them to the American people.' Rep. Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin said he hopes the depositions will expose others in Epstein's orbit. 'I'd like to know more about the people around Epstein, because maybe they will shed a light on what Bill was doing when he had contact with Epstein, and maybe give us the names of some more of the little people who know what's going on,' Grothman told the Daily Mail. 'We know that there are people out there who have said that they saw Bill on Epstein Island ... we would like to track that down. Shouldn't we, for history's purposes?'

Adding fuel to the fire are recently surfaced photographs from the files. These images capture Clinton in a swimming pool with Epstein’s former associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, and relaxing in a hot tub alongside an unidentified woman. Republican Representative Byron Donalds from Florida emphasized the need for closer examination, stating, “Bill in a pool, Bill on the plane, I think there needs to be a comprehensive review.” He further stressed the public’s demand for accountability from those in power involved in the exploitation and abuse of young women. Both Clintons have denied any misconduct, with Hillary maintaining that she never encountered Epstein himself, though she does admit to having met Maxwell on multiple occasions.

Epstein Survivor Urges Lawmakers to ‘Cast a Wide Net’ in Clinton Questioning

Dani Bensky, an Epstein survivor who attended Tuesday's State of the Union as a guest of Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, said lawmakers should cast a wide net when questioning the Clintons. She told the Daily Mail that 'it's really broad strokes' that lawmakers should use when questioning the Clintons. 'I think anything that they know about, anything that they were even around for, I think they really just need to talk about every event they ever attended,' Bensky noted, before adding that the more information the Clintons give, 'the better.' Epstein and Maxwell also appear to have played a key role in setting up the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative, according to the Epstein files. Maxwell herself was deposed as part of the bipartisan congressional investigation into the Justice Department's prosecution and handling of the Epstein case, during which she pleaded the Fifth Amendment to prevent self-incrimination.

Hillary said in a BBC interview last week that she and Bill are 'more than happy to say what we know, which is very limited and totally unrelated to their behavior or their crimes.' House Oversight Chairman James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, noted in a press statement earlier this week that 'the Clintons' testimony is critical to understanding Epstein and Maxwell's [sexual] trafficking network and the ways they sought to curry favor and influence to shield themselves from scrutiny.' 'Their testimony may also inform how Congress can strengthen laws to better combat human trafficking. Our goal for this investigation is straightforward: we seek to deliver transparency and accountability for the American people and for survivors,' Comer added. The Daily Mail has contacted the Clintons for comment.
