Donald Trump shared with the Daily Mail that his wife, Melania, has become more vocal on issues compared to his initial presidency.

On Thursday evening, the President and First Lady made a striking appearance as they graced the premiere of “Melania: Twenty Days to History” in Washington, DC, transforming the red carpet into a dramatic black one.

During the promotional tour for her film, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Melania Trump joined Fox News to discuss the movie. During the appearance, she also addressed current issues, such as the escalating conflict between federal immigration authorities and demonstrators in Minneapolis.

In a rare political statement, Melania urged for unity and emphasized that any demonstrations should remain ‘peaceful and without riots.’

When questioned about her statements while on the black carpet at the Trump-Kennedy Center, Donald Trump acknowledged that Melania has indeed been more vocal lately.

In response to the Daily Mail’s inquiry about this new development, Trump clarified, “Well, someone asked me a question, and I didn’t initiate it.”

‘She’s got stronger opinions now, probably,’ he went on. ‘She’s got experience, it comes with experience. She’s got stronger opinions.’

Trump gushed about his wife’s project, calling it her ‘baby’ and saying it’s a ‘beautiful’ film filled with ‘glamor.’

Trump told the Daily Mail that the film is the First Lady’s ‘baby’

Asked if Melania tapped the President for his experience in television, Trump told the Daily Mail: ‘Other than the fact that I’m in it… I would say that basically, this was her baby. This was her views, it’s her feel, and she’s done a great job.’

The First Lady donned an all black Dolce & Gabbana skirt suit and black alligator leather Louboutin pumps, sticking on the all-black theme.

Most red carpet walkers, including members of the administration and other political figures, wore black.

And while the night was about the First Lady, Trump couldn’t help but interject himself as he went on to gloat about his White House ballroom project.

‘You know, I’m fixing the White House. I do that instinctively. I fix the White House. It’s in a much better shape than it ever was,’ Trump said ahead of the premiere. ‘That’s a different building right now than it was a year ago, right?’

‘Things are being repaired. I love doing it. I do it second nature. That’s why I was good at real estate.’

Amazon bought the rights for $40 million for the film following Melania Trump’s 20-day journey ahead of her husband’s second inauguration in January 2025.

She told the Daily Mail that she wanted to focus the movie on those 20 days because ‘it was my life.’

‘People will see it transitioning from private citizen to being the First Lady again,’ she detailed.

‘The schedule was very intense, they followed me from morning until evening. And you will see what I have to do and what I did from planning the inauguration, to running my business… taking care of the family, moving to the White House, meeting with security detail, establishing the East Wing and hiring the people that need to work for me – but also they work for the American people.’

While the First Lady is a very private person, she was compelled to answer questions about daily news during her press tour for the movie this month.

‘I’m against the violence, so please, if you protest, protest in peace,’ she told Fox & Friends on Tuesday when asked about the clashes between ICE and protesters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Melania, an immigrant from Slovenia, said the President had a ‘great call’ with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, both Democrats, on Monday.

‘I know my husband, the President, had a great call yesterday with the governor and the mayor, and they’re working together to make it peaceful and without riots,’ Melania confirmed.

‘We need to unify in these times,’ she continued.
