Despite being absent from Washington for half a year, Elon Musk continues to occupy the position of one of the most disliked political figures in the United States.

According to the latest survey conducted by JL Partners for the Daily Mail, the former chief of the Department of Government Efficiency ranks lower in popularity than both the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and the major political parties.

The poll reveals that twice as many voters have a very unfavorable opinion of Musk compared to those who view him very favorably.

In detail, 34% of respondents expressed a very unfavorable stance towards the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, while 15% held a somewhat unfavorable opinion. Conversely, 17% had a very favorable view of the former DOGE leader, with 21% expressing a somewhat favorable opinion.

This results in Musk having a net approval rating of -11.

Throughout the polling process, he has consistently emerged as the least favored political figure.

In June, amid his nasty political divorce from President Donald Trump, his net rating was -22.

Now that the dust has settled, Musk does better with Republicans than Democrats, who had largely disavowed him for helping finance Trump’s 2024 reelection win.

While Elon Musk, the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, stepped away from Washington, D.C. five months ago, he remains the most despised political figure, the Daily Mail's most recent poll found

Polling found that after Musk, Donald Trump Jr. – the president’s eldest son – had the lowest ratings.

Trump Jr.’s net rating came in at -9, with 38 percent of respondents holding a very unfavorable view of the first son, a higher percentage than Musk’s 34 percent.

Coming just above Trump Jr. was ICE – as the agency carries out the president’s controversial mass deportation policy.

Thirty-five percent viewed ICE very unfavorably, while 23 percent viewed ICE very favorably, a net -6 rating.

Eric Trump’s popularity was also near the bottom, with 33 percent viewing the middle Trump son very unfavorably.

He received a net -5 rating.
