Baseus has unveiled a new gadget that can wirelessly charge smartphones compatible with Qi2 technology directly from an outlet, making it function as a wall-mounted charger. This design resembles a wireless charger introduced by Zens the previous year, but Baseus’ latest EnerGeek GT01 offers extra features. It includes a 10,000mAh battery that detaches from the adapter’s AC plug, functioning as a portable power bank and wireless charger. Once separated, what remains is a 27W USB-C charger affixed to the wall.

The capability for wireless charging is confined to Qi2 rates, allowing a maximum of 15W for smartphones, unlike the faster 25W offered by newer Qi2.2 chargers. For users needing a quick charge for a nearly dead phone or powering a non-Qi-compatible device, the EnerGeek GT01 also includes a USB-C port with an output of 45W from the power bank component. Both the Qi2 pad and USB-C ports can be utilized simultaneously when the two parts are combined. While the wireless charging remains constant at 15W, the two USB ports will share the remaining power dynamically.

Also, included is a compact LCD display on one side that indicates the remaining battery life and provides an estimate of the hours and minutes left until the battery is fully drained according to current power usage.

The device is slated for release later this year, priced at $89.99. Although this is relatively steep for a 10,000mAh power bank with wireless charging (Anker offers one at $60), the added cost covers the ease of having fewer cables and adapters.
