Ahead, Troll Factor Eight! Rep Mike Collins 'Corrects' Chris Van Hollen's Office Plaque

Senator Chris Van Hollen has been taking a fair amount of heat, rightfully, for his fawning over an illegal alien gang member who has been properly returned to where he belongs, to El Salvador. Much of the opprobrium that Senator Van Hollen is receiving is again, rightfully, due to his ignoring of one of his actual constituents, Patty Morin, whose daughter was raped and brutally murdered by an illegal alien (not the same one).

Now, Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) has taken up the matter and has “corrected” Senator Van Hollen’s office marker in a rather nice little bit of trolling.

This isn’t the first time that Rep. Collins has taken a swing at the Maryland Senator.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal alien (no longer; he actually belongs in El Salvador), has been the subject of a lot of scrutiny since his repatriation, and plenty of information has come to light that makes any reasonable person glad he’s been sent home.

Abrego-Garcia’s deportation sparked an uproar among Democrats, many of whom say that the El Salvadorian national was a hard-working Maryland resident whose right to due process was violated.

However, Abrego-Garcia, who entered the U.S. illegally in 2011, remained in the country unlawfully despite being issued a deportation order back in 2019.

Prince George’s County Police Gang Unit identified Abrego-Garcia as a member of the notorious Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang in 2019, according to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The HSI report also noted that Abrego-Garcia was suspected of human trafficking after a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper encountered him in December 2022.

First, Abrego Garcia wasn’t a Maryland resident. He was in the country illegally. For years. He never made any effort to legitimize his status. He was an illegal alien, right up to the point where he was sent back to El Salvador. And, he is no prize in either country.

President Trump, on the other hand, not only arranged for Patty Morin to speak to the White House press corps but also had her visit the Oval Office.

This past week, President Donald Trump hosted Angel Mom Patty Morin, a Maryland resident, at the White House. Morin’s daughter, Rachel, was beaten, raped and killed in Maryland by an illegal migrant from El Salvador in 2023. Patty Morin claims Van Hollen never contacted her after Rachel’s murder.

Interesting comparison of priorities, there, isn’t it?

Our hearts go out to Patty Morin; the heartbreak on her face is shattering. I can’t imagine what she is going through. In any just world, Senator Van Hollen would lose his next election in a catastrophic defeat, but he being from blue Maryland, that’s anything but assured. And while he grandstands, the Trump administration is still taking on the legal fights to have illegal alien gang members and criminals removed from our country.

Think about that for a moment. There are people – on the left, of course – who are filing legal challenges to allow not just illegal aliens, not just people who have no business being in the United States at all, but actual gang members and criminals – to remain here, in our country. Senator Van Hollen, now, is the face of those people. And he’ll likely be re-elected when his current term is up.

Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left’s lies, new legislation wasn’t needed to secure our border, just a new president.
