How Andrew's 'rude' comment about Kate sparked bitter feud between ex-prince and William - who 'couldn't wait for the day' when Charles finally threw him out

The Prince and Princess of Wales have decisively voiced that severing ties with Prince Andrew is essential for the Royal Family’s progression, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Following Andrew’s recent loss of titles, a significant fallout with his nephew, Prince William, has come to light. The tension reportedly began with what has been described as a ‘rude’ comment about Kate, leading to a strained relationship between the two. This animosity seemingly fueled William’s eagerness to see Andrew removed from Royal Lodge.

In a startling development, 65-year-old Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was stripped of his princely status and was effectively evicted from his expansive 30-room residence. This decision was executed by his elder sibling, King Charles III, who is 76 years old, on Thursday.

As the next in line for the throne, Prince William has expressed full support for his father’s decisive action. Alongside Kate, he has also voiced concerns that should Windsor continue to be associated with Andrew, it would cast a lasting shadow over the estate, which the couple plans to call home upon their accession.

According to a royal biography, the friction between William and his uncle traces back to disparaging comments Andrew reportedly made about Kate, which left a sour impression on William and contributed to the ongoing discord.

William’s distaste for his uncle is said to have began after Andrew made ‘rude’ remarks about wife Kate in the past, a royal biography has claimed.

Andrew Lownie, in his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks and first serialised in the Mail, quotes a source as saying Andrew had been disrespectful towards the now-Princess of Wales.

The exact nature of the remarks is unknown.

The source is quoted as saying: ‘He [William] also loathes Sarah, Andrew’s ex-wife, and can’t wait for the day when his father throws them both out.

‘If Charles doesn’t, I guarantee you the first thing William does when he eventually becomes king is to get them evicted.’

It is no secret that the heir to the throne has become increasingly exasperated with his uncle in recent years after a series of scandals that have damaged the royal family’s reputation.

Most notably is his friendship with Epstein, which continued after the billionaire had been convicted of sex crimes against a young girl and saw trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre allege she had been forced to have sex with the royal on three occasions.

Recent revelations, including friendly emails from Andrew and Sarah to Epstein after they had claimed to have broken off relations, plus details of how the paedophile funded Sarah’s lifestyle amid spiralling debts, have even created tensions with their daughters.

In his book, Lownie adds that William was left furious after Andrew and Sarah turned up to the Duchess of Kent’s funeral in September, which they had not been expected to attend.

Lownie wrote: ‘William, meanwhile, was ‘furious’ at being ambushed in this way, according to friends.

‘He has been at pains to distance himself from his uncle and not be photographed with him.

‘He believes his father has not dealt with him with sufficient firmness and that Andrew – and Sarah Ferguson – have done much to undermine the good work of other members of the Royal Family.’

Before Andrew was stripped of his royal titles, William and Kate backed the King, saying they also wanted him kicked out of Windsor.

William, 43, was said to have been pushing for the eviction of Andrew and his ex-wife from Royal Lodge, in Windsor, for years, and was reportedly frustrated at it falling into disrepair in recent months.

The former Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson now both face moving to new homes.

Last night it emerged that the Prince and Princess of Wales were steadfast in pushing for Andrew's banishment following a long-running feud which began over alleged comments about Kate

While Andrew is destined for the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, Sarah will have to make her own arrangements and is even rumoured to be considering moving abroad, after weeks of scandal damaged the relationship between the former couple and their children.

Beatrice and Eugenie are to retain their princess titles and membership of the House of York, but are said to be deeply disappointed in their parents, although simultaneously very concerned about their father’s mental wellbeing.

Meanwhile, William’s estranged brother Harry, Duke of Sussex, has a similarly poor relationship with his uncle, the book also claimed.

He is said to have told his brother he ‘hated’ Andrew, with a source saying Harry had previously called him an ‘a******’ and a ‘twit’.

It comes as it was revealed last night that the King was ‘gravely concerned’ that the future of the monarchy was at stake unless he acted decisively to banish his beleaguered brother.

This was despite concerns from family members about the impact this could have on Andrew, who is said to have become all but a recluse in Royal Lodge in recent weeks.

William, a long-term mental-health campaigner, is understood to have been particularly worried about his uncle’s wellbeing.

Concerns were also raised privately by other family members including Andrew’s siblings, Prince Edward and Princess Anne.

However, the King and his wife, Queen Camilla, who has long campaigned for those affected by domestic and sexual violence, were also determined to publicly show their support for victims and survivors of ‘any and all forms of abuse’.

Andrew’s move to Sandringham, one of the monarch’s private properties, means Charles can continue to support his brother financially.

The Daily Mail understands that while plans to give him a new home are under way, his move is likely to be many weeks away.

His ex-wife, Sarah, is unlikely to move with him. Friends say both appear to be ‘on the brink’ over their humiliating public downfall, while their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are said to be ‘devastated’ by the scandal.

A senior former aide to Queen Elizabeth, ex-press secretary Ailsa Anderson, told the Daily Mail last night: ‘His humiliation is complete.

‘The palace statement was absolutely unprecedented and decisive, and rightly so.

‘I am so pleased Queen Elizabeth is not here to see this. She was all about duty and service. It was never about self. For her, it was always about her country.’

Another former royal aide said of Andrew: ‘The irony that the only titles someone as obsessed with status and standing has left are “Randy Andy” and “Air Miles Andrew” is lost on no one.

‘He will only be remembered as the most disgraced royal of his generation.’
