Meghan Markle showcased her £236,000 jewellery collection in the second episode of her lifestyle show, which launched on Netflix today, as she prepared sourdough, biscuits, and used ready-made puff pastry.

During the eight-part series, the Duchess of Sussex admitted she ‘doesn’t like baking’ while featuring celebrity guests such as Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and TV personality Tan France.

Scenes of her preparing food in the kitchen showed off her lavish jewellery collection and enviable designer wardrobe.

She crafted homemade versions of McDonald’s hot apple pies, Cheez-Its American cheese crackers, and salt and vinegar crisps. Additionally, she served beverages like a ‘lavender grey latte,’ which includes Earl Grey tea, lavender, and honey-vanilla frothed milk.

Instead of removing her jewellery when cooking, Meghan chose to wear her diamonds, gold Cartier pieces, and her exquisite engagement ring. She even donned her pricey jewellery and a pristine white t-shirt while shaping pottery on a spinning wheel.

Her engagement ring, valued at £120,000, is understandably her most significant piece, featuring diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection.

Initially crafted by Cleave & Company, Queen Elizabeth’s trusted jeweller, the ring featured a simple gold band.

Less than two years later, Harry had Lorraine Schwartz resize and reset the ring with a new diamond band, which Meghan debuted at Trooping the Colour in 2019.

Meghan stacked this on top of her £10,000 ($13,493) wedding band, which was crafted from Welsh gold and was gifted to her from the late Queen, as in keeping with royal tradition.

Meghan was also seen wearing her eternity ring, which retails for £80,000 ($107,947), and first caught the eye of royal watchers when she first wore it in 2019.

Placed alongside her wedding band and engagement ring, the eternity ring holds deep personal meaning as it was a gift from Harry to mark their first wedding anniversary.

Crafted with conflict-free diamonds, the ring features the birthstones of Meghan, Archie and Harry, subtly set on its underside: a green peridot, green emerald and blue sapphire.

Meghan also wore her Lorraine Schwartz pinky ring, which has sparked much speculation, especially since Meghan wore it on the cover of Time magazine in 2021, and again at the 2023 Invictus Games.

The three-carat emerald-cut diamond, known for symbolising stability and strength, is particularly fitting for Meghan, who has faced numerous challenges since she and Harry decided to step back from royal duties.

On one hand, the former senior royal sported Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Française watch, worth £17,800 ($24,020), which was gifted to her after she married Prince Harry.

She stacked this on top of her 18-carat gold Cartier Love bracelet, which retails for around £7,050 ($9,513). The bracelet symbolises eternal love with a unique closure that locks around the wrist, representing lasting commitment.

Meghan wore a pair of £2,090 ($2,650) earrings from Ariel Gordon made from high-polished gold and a £4,310 ($5,500) Diamond Hex bracelet from Ariel Gordon featuring over 1.5 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds set in solid gold hexagon-shaped links.

Meghan has been spotted wearing Cartier’s iconic Juste un Clou necklace on multiple occasions, so it’s no surprise it features in her new series.

Inspired by the design of a simple nail, this piece reimagines an everyday hardware element into a luxurious 18-carat gold accessory adorned with 57 sparkling diamonds.

Preparing her apple pies, which she claims she used to get from McDonald’s after successful acting auditions, Meghan said: ‘Let’s get our puff pastry ready. We’re going to use pre-made, good puff pastry as opposed to making our dough from scratch.’

The Duchess adds later: ‘I love the idea of being able to rethink baking to be just a little more spontaneous.’

Meghan said to chef Christina Tosi: ‘Usually, I don’t like baking because it’s so measured.’

Her As Ever range, launched in March, includes ready-made shortbread cookies and crepe mixes with pre-measured amounts.

In another scene, France asks what Meghan just put on her French toast, to which the Duchess replies: ‘Flower sprinkles. I love them.’

France hesitates and then remarks: ‘Wow. That’s the gayest s*** I’ve seen in a long time.’

The Netflix show, which is streaming from today, was filmed last year in a rented home in Montecito, close to the Sussex’s own mansion.

The first series pulled in 5.3million views, in the top five per cent of Netflix shows for the first half of 2025.

She and Harry signed a five-year contract reported to be worth $100million with Netflix, but that has now been replaced by a first-look deal, which gives the streaming giant first refusal on any shows they create.

Netflix is also funding the couple’s Archewell Productions company.

One proposal said to have been mentioned among a long list of possibilities is a documentary marking the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in 2027.

The Sussexes’ office this week declined to confirm or deny whether that is under consideration.
