Spot the difference: King George V's consort Mary (1867-1953) looks eerily similar to her granddaughter Queen Elizabeth II. But it's not just looks the two women share. Mary, much like Elizabeth, was extremely dedicated to her country and supported her husband, her two sons, and her granddaughter, Elizabeth, during their respective years on the throne.

Spitting image: The nose and eyes of Edward VII (1841-1910) have definitely been passed on to great-great-grandson and future King, Prince Charles. Edward VII  –  Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's oldest son – ruled until his death in 1910.

Proud heritage: King George VI (1895-1952) and great-grandson Prince William have similar eyes and lips. An eerie nod to current affairs, George VI – affectionately known as 'Bertie' – ascended the throne after his controversial brother abandoned the Monarchy. Today, Prince William has struggled with a distant brother himself after Prince Harry stepped back as a senior royal and moved to California.

Regal likeness: The Queen Mother (1900-2002) and great-granddaughter Princess Eugenie both have the same face shape. If Eugenie is lucky, she'll share more than just her great-grandmothers good looks: The Queen Mother lived until she was 101.

Like grandfather like grandson: Former senior royal Prince Harry is a clone of his late grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. In this picture, it's noticeably obvious that both men share a similar smile, scruff and eyes.

By George! There's no denying that Prince Edward has inherited grandfather King George VI's (1895-1952) ears.

Crowning glories: Queen consort Mary (1867-1953) and great-granddaughter Princess Anne have the same hair. Perhaps more notable, however, is both of their icy stares.

Golden curls: Lady Louise Windsor, Prince Edward's daughter, looked just like her grandmother the Queen when they were both young. Queen Elizabeth is pictured here in 1930.

Royal jewels: Lady Louise Windsor isn't the only young royal that resembles Her Majesty, however. Royal fans were left baffled by Princess Charlotte's striking resemblance to the young Queen in one of her most recent birthday photos.

The people's princesses: Princess Charlotte's eyes, nose and smile have also been compared to her grandmother Princess Diana. The two look remarkably similar in these photos.

Long face: George III's consort Charlotte (1744-1818), and four times great-granddaughter Lady Gabriella Windsor, share several similar features, including their eyes, face shape and nose. Gabriella, however, will most likely never become Queen as her great-grandmother did since she is currently number 56 in the line of succession.

High-profile: William can blame his hairline on four times great-grandfather Prince Albert (1819-1861). Both men suffered from hair loss starting at an early age.

Royal stance: Prince George is currently enjoying a fuller head of hair than his father, Prince William, but the young royal does look strikingly similar to his father. Not only does the young prince have the same eyebrows and ears as his fathers, his mannerisms (pictured here) are considerably similar.
