One fan wrote: ‘Feels like Arsenal are still in the Europa League with a draw like that. What a time to be alive’.

Another said: ‘Arsenal got a Europa League group lol. Embarrassing if they get knocked out lol’.

‘Fantastic group for us. Not only an advantage in the UCL but the very short flying distances will also aid our recovery for Premier League games at the weekend,’ a third Arsenal fan tweeted.

Some Arsenal fans are eyeing a place in the final in Wembley, with one writing: ‘Wembley is a blessing to Arsenal . I see us in the Final and lifting it’.

Arsenal’s last appearance in the Champions League came in March 2017 when they were hammered 5-1 (10-2 on agg) by Bayern Munich.

The Gunners will host Manchester United on Sunday, with the Champions League commencing shortly after the upcoming international break.
