Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has insisted no decision has been made on a possible permanent move for Marcus Rashford in the summer.
Since his temporary departure from Manchester United in January, Rashford has contributed significantly to Villa, with four assists and two goals, including scoring twice in Sunday’s 3-0 triumph over Preston North End in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Reports initially suggested that Villa could make Rashford’s move permanent for £40m. However, there are now claims that United might aim for a deal closer to £60m.
Asked whether any decision had been made on Rashford’s future after the FA Cup victory, Emery insisted: “Not yet.
“The primary focus is on our current challenges and today’s agenda, which includes recovery and preparing for the upcoming game against Brighton. Decisions regarding each player aim to maximize their potential and our success. We don’t want to waste time dwelling on it.”

Rashford, for his part, confessed he is enjoying his football again since his move to Villa in January.
“It’s a great feeling, I feel like I’ve been getting fitter and playing better football since I’ve been here,” he told the BBC after the game. “It’s obviously nice for a forward to get a goal so hopefully it continues.
“I think we have to just take it one game at a time and give it 100% on the pitch and see where it takes us. We’re a very ambitious team – we want to win and try and get as far as we can in all competitions and we also want to push to get back into the top four.
“I think I can still get fitter. I missed a lot of football before joining up with them. At the minute my body feels good, I’m injury-free and I’m enjoying my football, so all good for now.”
