This policy is only in effect for the Premier League’s ‘big six’ clubs, which include Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

It is further understood that two of those clubs are interested in the Cherries star this summer – Chelsea and Tottenham.

The Blues have made signing a new striker a priority and Solanke, who came up through the academy at Stamford Bridge, is an option.

Tottenham also explored a deal in January for the England international and their interest remains.

The 26-year-old had his best professional season with Bournemouth this year, playing 38 times in the Premier League and scoring 19 goals.

Only Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer and Alexander Isak scored more than the former Liverpool ace in the division.

As well as clubs in England, there is interest in Solanke from Italy.

Solanke signed a contract extension at Bournemouth in 2023 that will keep him at the club until 2027.

It comes after signing from Liverpool in 2019 for a fee of £19m plus add-ons.

That agreement also saw a sell-on clause that would see the Reds make 20 per cent of any profit made from a transfer.

That means if Solanke is sold for his ‘big six’ release clause, that would see Liverpool make £9m from the deal.

Despite his stunning season for the Cherries, the striker did not earn himself a spot in the England squad this summer for Euro 2024.

Instead, Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate picked Harry Kane, Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins as his three strikers.
