Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford celebrated his 30th birthday in style this weekend and a number of familiar faces made sure to attend.

On Saturday afternoon, the England international took part in Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Man United – where Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes struck for the hosts.

Hours later, it appears that Pickford spent the evening celebrating with his loved ones and close friends after turning 30 last Thursday.

‘You mean the world to us all. Thankyou so much @jonnybongolacey for the best night ever’.

The photos she shared showed off the glitzy ballroom that had been designed for the event at Merrydale Manor, as well as pictures of herself with the Everton star.

The account that Megan had tagged belongs to ‘Jonny Bongo’, who is the founder of Bongos Bingo – which is ‘a crazy mix of traditional bingo, dance-offs, rave intervals, audience participation’, according to their website.

Described as ‘the definitive bingo experience’, it provides guests with the chance for punters to win a series of prizes, including giant pink unicorns, Henry Hoovers and karaoke machines.

A private Bongos Bingo show can cost anywhere up to £14,500, with the event catered for at least 150 people.

‘Bongo’ took to his own Instagram page to share a picture of the night, which showed Wayne Rooney, Tony Bellew and Seamus Coleman all attending the event.

Rooney had also been at Old Trafford earlier in the day for United’s clash with Everton, where he slammed Bruno Fernandes for allowing Marcus Rashford to take United’s second penalty.

Fernandes scored the first penalty of the game after James Tarkowski fouled Alejandro Garnacho, and seemed set to step up again when the Argentine was brought down by Ben Godfrey just minutes later.

He instead, however, passed the ball to Rashford. And despite the forward scoring, Rooney, speaking on TNT Sports, claimed it was the wrong decision to pass the ball on.

‘I think any club should have one penalty taker,’ Rooney said. ‘I understand when a player is going through a tough period, but when it’s 1-0 it is risky.

‘The keepers study so much now, Jordan (Pickford) would have known his favourite way, but it is a game of cat and mouse.

‘I used to practice and tell the goalkeepers what way. If I know them – I have scored past all of them – but it can be a bit more nervous.’
