Paige Shiver, the former lover of Sherrone Moore, the recently dismissed Michigan football coach, has revealed that she became pregnant during their prolonged affair but had to end the pregnancy due to health concerns.
In a revealing interview with ABC, Shiver shared that she was pregnant when she discovered she had Pompe disease, a rare genetic disorder that affects muscle function. Concerned doctors advised against continuing the pregnancy, and Moore, a 40-year-old married man with whom she was involved, also encouraged her to prioritize her health by terminating the pregnancy.
“Several doctors and specialists informed me that carrying the baby would be unsafe,” Shiver explained to ABC. “Moore told me I needed to focus on what was best for my health.”
On December 10, Shiver reported their affair to the university, resulting in Moore’s immediate termination. Later that day, according to Shiver, Moore made an unexpected visit to her apartment.
“I suddenly heard footsteps growing louder, and I thought, ‘Oh no!’ I rushed to lock my door,” she recounted. “He burst in, stood very close to me, and said, ‘You’ve ruined my life. Why would you do this to me?'”

She further described how she backed away as Moore continued to follow her.
Asked if she feared for her life, Shiver agreed.
‘Oh my gosh, yes,’ she said. ‘He’s 6ft4, and he comes in with his hood up, looking down at me, saying, I ruined his life, crying. And then [he] starts coming at me, and I tell him to leave, that he’s not supposed to be here. He’s not he’s not listening to me. And then he starts grabbing butter knives.’
Moore fled the scene, but was arrested soon thereafter.
The disgraced coach landed a huge victory in court last month when charges of home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering against him were dismissed as part of an agreement with prosecutors. In exchange, Moore pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of trespassing and malicious use of a telecom device in a relationship.
He received an 18-month probation sentence earlier this month.
Judge J. Cedric Simpson did order prison sentences of 180 days and 30 days, but the terms were both suspended, meaning Moore won’t have to go to jail if he abides by the requirements of his probation.
After Moore received his sentence of 18 months’ probation over his arrest for confronting Shiver at her apartment, she scolded the judge’s decision in a statement

Shiver believes Moore should have faced harsher consequences.
‘I think he should have gotten more punishment for what he did,’ she told ABC.
Shiver also pointed the finger at school officials, whom she claimed were aware about her relationship with Moore. Asked if the school had a moral obligation to intervene when learning about the relationship between Shiver and her boss, she emphatically agreed.
‘He controlled everything that was going on in my life, and they didn’t do anything about it,’ she said.
In a statement to ABC, a school spokesperson said the University ‘acted promptly to terminate Moore and that it is committed to ensuring a professional and respectful workplace for all members of its community.’
Shiver is the daughter of Chicago Bears scout Jeff Shiver, who has appeared at Michigan games with his daughter throughout her tenure in Ann Arbor.
Moore must pay court fees and fines totaling $1,100, avoid alcohol and other drugs, continue to undergo mental health treatment, and avoid any form of contact with Shiver.
Judge Simpson stressed that Moore’s probation does not lessen ‘the impact of those events.’ He also delivered a stirring address, identifying Moore’s wife, Kelli, as the ‘person saving him from the full wrath of this court.’
Specifically, Simpson credited Kelli for her strength in managing for their daughters while frantically trying to help the police track down her husband on December 10. Simpson noted in one of the 911 calls from Kelli, he could hear the couple’s ‘babies’ in the background.

Kelli also wrote Simpson a letter to urge him for leniency. ‘The person who is saving you from the full wrath of this court is the person who you betrayed,’ Simpson said.
A former offensive lineman at Oklahoma, the Kansas native became a graduate assistant coach at Louisville before getting added to head coach Charlie Strong’s full-time staff in 2012.
Moore would go on to join Central Michigan as an assistant before being hired by now-former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh in 2019.
After winning the 2023 national championship as the Wolverines offensive coordinator, Moore was promoted to head coach in Ann Arbor as Harbaugh took the Los Angeles Chargers job in the NFL.
His attorney, Ellen Michaels, previously suggested Moore could return to coaching.
‘Here is a man who has devoted himself to working hard to get where he needs to be,’ Michaels told reporters in March. ‘And I can tell you that this is a man who will continue his path and continue his journey, and he will do what it takes to get there.’
