Several important fixtures for the 2026 FIFA World Cup were announced on Sunday from a Miami television studio, with FIFA President Gianni Infantino joining the broadcast in a beige wardrobe.

Instead of Infantino’s usual three-piece suits, going with a beige hoodie and pants was a stark departure for the leader of an international sports organization.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the first to expand from 32 to 48 teams, and will be the first to be held in three countries.

Soccer fans tuned into the broadcast had a field day with Infaninto’s outfit.

‘The biggest surprise of this FIFA World Cup schedule reveal is Gianni Infantino dressed like he’s getting into rap,’ one fan said on X, as Infantino’s outfit does resemble that of the character B-Rabbit from ‘8 Mile’.

‘What is that sweater suit Gianni Infantino is wearing?’ another fan said on X. ‘He can dress as well as he can run an international sporting organization. Badly, it seems.’

Another message on X had only the words ‘Gianni Infantino’ with a photo of Lord Palpatine, a notorious villain from the ‘Star Wars’ universe, known for wearing robes.

Another fan asked if Infantino was about to drop a mixtape?
