Bayern Munich will reportedly launch a fresh bid for Fulham midfielder Palhinha in the January transfer window, with potential replacements set to be available for the Cottagers.

The Portugal star had agreed a deal with Bayern Munich and even underwent a medical on deadline day.

However, Fulham blocked the move as they did not have enough time to secure a replacement for Palhinha.

According to The Evening Standard, the German giants will return for Palhinha as they plan a fresh move in January.

There’s a strong chance that the move could happen, with the Cottagers’ potential replacements likely to be available.

They moved to sign Scott McTominay and  Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg towards the end of the summer window but neither deal was possible.

Fulham could return for the pair in January if Palhinha departs with it believed that the club are willing to allow the Portugal midfielder to leave if they have a replacement lined up.

This news comes after Palhinha’s brother, who also acts as his agent, revealed a deal could happen in the future.

‘They didn’t kill the dream, they just postponed it,’ he said after the move collapsed.

Fulham will be hoping that Palhinha can turn his attention to winning games for his side until the January window opens.
