Turkish giants Galatasaray are closing on signing two Premier League stars, despite the English transfer deadline passing.

At 11pm on Thursday evening, the transfer window slammed shut for England’s sides, where spending barely tickled £100million across January.

While this means that English clubs are not able to bring in any more players, it doesn’t prevent further outgoings, which look set to take place.

The Forest defender had looked set to join the Turkish giants on Thursday, but the two clubs failed to come to an agreement on payment terms.

This stumbling block put the move in significant jeopardy, however, the Turkish transfer window does not close until February 9, meaning there is still time for a deal to be reached.

Aurier, who played for Tottenham between 2017 and 2021, joined Forest on a free transfer in September 2022 after being released by Villarreal.

Mail Sport also understand that the Turkish giants are closing in a loan deal for Fulham striker Carlos Vinicius.

Vinicius had been a loan target for top clubs in Europe and Brazil throughout the window and the Super Lig side are now seeking a loan deal.

Vinicius, a former Tottenham, Benfica and PSV striker, is ready to leave Craven Cottage for a new challenge but fears the price tag will cost him the chance.

Fulham signed him in September 2022 from Benfica where he scored 24 goals in 49 games and was top scorer in the Portuguese League in 2019-20.

During his year-long spell at Spurs, Vinicius shared the pitch with fellow transfer target Aurier, as well as current loanee Tanguy Ndombele and defender Davinson Sanchez.
