Cowboys owner and master businessman Jerry Jones is doing his best to ensure the 2026 World Cup Final comes to Arlington, TX. after FIFA President Gianni Infantino watched the Cowboys’ 30-10 rout of the Jets in-person.

The controversial head of the global game was sat in a plush suite as Jones’ Cowboys ran riot against the Zach Wilson-led Gang Green.

Dallas’ AT&T Stadium is a crown jewel in America’s game – and Jones is hoping to expand that to global status, if it has not yet reached that threshold.

‘The stadium is absolutely fantastic,’ Infantino said, via NBC5 Sports’ Noah Bullard.

‘It’s incredible to be here… it’s important to see all the stadiums, it’s important to see what is done for the fans.

‘I have to say in America, you are light years ahead compared to the rest of the world.

‘So, we’re here to learn, we are here to check and we are here to make, and organize, the biggest, biggest World Cup ever.’

Though, there is no certainty of it coming to Arlington, with New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium and Southern California’s SoFi Stadium providing stiff competition.

So, what did good ol’ Jerry do in an attempt to stack the Dallas deck?

‘I think we’re trying every way in the world we can to have the final game here,’ Jones said.

‘We’re going to have games here, but want to try every way in the world to get it done and I need to send Micah.’

Beyond an interaction with the league’s best player, Infantino experienced 93,689 NFL fans – most of the Cowboy variety, naturally – at their most raucous.

The polarizing president also endured a some boos when his face was shown on the enormous screen in the stadium.

One would hope that doesn’t factor into the final equation, with an official announcement expected from FIFA in the next month or so.

The World Cup will be the biggest in the sense of competing teams. For the first time in history, 48 nations will be involved with 12 groups comprised of four squads.
