Jarrod Bowen and Ollie Watkins have been recalled to Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad but in-form West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse misses out, according to The Athletic.

Bowen has made a fine start to the campaign and has netted five times in seven Premier League games. While Watkins is coming off the back of his second hat-trick of the campaign in a 6-1 demolition of Brighton.

The striking pair have made four and seven appearances for the Three Lions respectively, though neither has featured in over a year for Southgate.

Despite registering three assists and scoring two goals since his £30m move, the 28-year-old will take no part in contests against Australia and Italy later this month.
