Between 1994 and 1996, Mexican giants Club América wore one of the most beloved football shirts of all time.

The yellow adidas jersey—with its iconic red, blue, and black diamond design across the chest, centralized crest, and distinctive Coca-Cola sponsor—holds a special place in football kit history and is beloved by enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Now, that legendary look may be making a comeback.

Leaked photos from Footy Headlines suggests Club América’s upcoming 2025/26 home shirt will pay direct homage to that era-defining design.

Much like the original, the leaked kit boasts a vivid yellow base, complemented by striking red, blue, and black squares that extend just below the crest, integrating with the Caliente sponsor. The crest is centered, paying homage to the original design layout.

The revamped version incorporates adidas’ contemporary elements, such as black rounded neck detailing and three-stripe shoulder branding. Departing from the classic v-neck of the mid-’90s, this modern take maintains a sleek silhouette while clearly reflecting its historical influences.

While not a one-to-one replica, the resemblance is unmistakable. And with adidas returning as Club América’s kit supplier for the first time since 2000, the throwback design feels like a deliberate bridge between past and present.

It’s retro – but it’s new. If confirmed, this reimagined kit won’t just please die-hard América supporters –it could go down as an instant modern classic.
