Just when Bayern Munich seemed to have completed their kit selection for the 2025/26 season – having already unveiled their home, away, third, and annual Oktoberfest-themed jerseys – it appears another kit is in the pipeline.

This time it’s something different: a retro-inspired shirt.

Footy Headlines reports that the upcoming jersey draws inspiration from the club’s heritage and its stadium. Featuring a striking red-and-blue diamond design, it reflects both Bayern’s emblem and the illuminated panels of the Allianz Arena’s exterior. To enhance the retro vibe, the shirt boasts adidas’ classic Trefoil emblem.

Adding a custom touch, a subtle “FCB” inscription can be found beneath the collar. There appear to be two versions – one featuring a blue collar, the other with a simple white collar – although it’s not yet decided which will be released to the public.

The Bayern Munich 2026 retro jersey is expected to launch in late 2025 or early 2026.

Fans may not be able to buy it just yet, but a few things are for sure at the Allianz Arena at the moment: Harry Kane scoring plenty of goals, a team gearing up for trophies, and more kits and merchandise than Bayern supporters know how to handle.
