Lisandro Martinez’s girlfriend jetted more than 6,800 miles to watch her boyfriend’s return from injury at Old Trafford last weekend.

Muri Lopez dazzled in her recent Instagram pictures by showing off a glittery one piece outfit, writing: ‘A few photos in the lead up of my favourite carnival.’

Martinez returned from a four-month lay-off as the Red Devils were held to a 2-2 draw by Ange Postecoglou‘s side.

And it appears his girlfriend Muri was more than happy with his performance, as they shared an embrace on the pitch after the game.

Muri Lopez wowed her fans on Instagram with this stunning pic of her at Carnival

She described the carnival, which was being held at Gualeguay in Argentina, as her ‘favourite’

Following the match, Muri posted this picture of her with Lisandro on the pitch at Old Trafford

Smiling for the camera, Muri wrote on Instagram: ‘Happy to be present and see your return to what you are so passionate about!

‘I admire your power of overcoming and your endless desire to eat the world! I love you.’

She ended up travelling 6,883 miles from Corsodromo, Gualeguay, in Argentina for Martinez’s match.

And she was not the only one happy with his return, as United fans were quick to cheer Martinez’s barge on Richarlison during the game.

As the Brazilian attempted to chase an out swinging corner which looked set to fall to Alejandro Garnacho on the edge of the box, Martinez ensured he didn’t progress by aggressively barging the Brazilian to the ground.

United fans were left delighted with Martinez’s contribution as they took to social media to sing his praise. One fan said: ‘I have missed this guy’.

Another mirrored those views as he wrote: ‘We’ve missed Martinez so much,’ while a third United fan added: ‘The Butcher is back’.

Martinez will hope to inspire United to climb up the Premier League after they suffered heavily in his absence.
