Manchester United will be looking to continue their resurgence on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town.
United’s meandering campaign was brought to life by their 3-2 comeback victory over Aston Villa on Boxing Day, with Ten Hag’s side enjoying a six-game unbeaten run in all competitions to kick-off 2024.
Their new year upsurge has seen the Red Devils climb up to sixth in the Premier League table and within striking distance of the top four.
Luton, meanwhile, were enjoying an impressive run of form of their own before they were surprisingly beaten at home by Sheffield United last weekend. Still, Rob Edwards’ common sense approach has seen the Hatters punch above their weight during their maiden Premier League voyage. Luton enter Sunday’s game 17th in the table and with a genuine shot of survival.
Here’s 90min’s preview of Man Utd’s trip to Luton.

A Victor Lindelof strike handed United all three points at a nervy Old Trafford in the reverse fixture, with the Red Devils having to work hard for their victory. That’s what Luton force sides to do and they’re even tougher to beat on home soil.
The Hatters have already pushed Manchester City and Arsenal all the way at Kenilworth Road and were minutes away from securing a memorable victory over Liverpool.
They should have plenty of the game on Sunday against this tactically questionable Man Utd side, but Ten Hag’s men have relentlessly found ways of getting the job done in recent weeks. They may not deserve it, but that theme could continue this weekend.
