Joleon Lescott has taken up a post-playing career as a DJ, and it seems he has the full support of one of his former teammates: Micah Richards.

Lescott, following in his DJ father’s footsteps, achieved a dream by performing at Reading Festival’s Jägermeister Stage, where he played an electrifying set of dance hits for a huge audience.

But front and centre of the audience wasn’t just any fan – it was Richards, making sure he didn’t miss a beat.

Richards, who played with Lescott at Manchester City for five seasons and played a part in winning two Premier League titles, was seen in a video dancing enthusiastically, a Jägermeister bottle in hand, and enjoying the atmosphere with fans, including one wearing a City jersey, which amused Lescott greatly.

In another video shared by Richards on Instagram, he is seen grabbing the microphone to act as Lescott’s MC, engaging the audience with chants between songs and energizing the crowd.

With over 100 games played together for their club and national team, Lescott and Richards have clearly maintained a strong friendship that extends beyond football, with Lescott on the turntables and Richards helping to energize the crowd from the stage.
