Nike has launched the newest version in their renowned series of Phantom football boots, called the Nike Phantom 6. This boot is crafted for players who excel in precision and control on the field.

Drawing from feedback provided by athletes on prior models such as the Phantom GX 1 & 2 and Luna 1 & 2, the Phantom 6 has been meticulously refined to boost crucial components of offensive play: more precise striking, enhanced spin, accurate passing, and superior traction on the field.

The centerpiece of the design is Tuned Gripknit, a novel upper material that naturally conforms to the foot, providing improved micro-textured grip. This feature enhances the connection between the boot and ball, especially useful during fast-paced or high-pressure moments in the game.

Also featured is an upgraded Cyclone 360 stud pattern, now with integrated conical studs that optimise weight distribution. This design not only increases balance and comfort underfoot, but also boosts agility without sacrificing stability.

The Phantom 6 will be available in both High and Low versions, which share the same soleplate. The High model includes additional Gripknit coverage over the laces for players who want maximum ball manipulation in tight spaces.

Elite stars like Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Barcelona Femení playmaker Alexia Putellas will be among those wearing the new boots.

“If there was one thing that I could ask a pair of boots to help me improve, it would be the precision to score more goals,” Haaland said. “I feel like this Phantom allows me to do just that: shut off all distractions and focus on nothing other than attacking.”

Putellas added: “You can feel an immediate difference playing with the new Phantom. With the grip in the upper, I can put the ball exactly where I want it. Players with an offence mindset will love this boot for dribbling, passing and shooting with next-level precision.”

Beyond performance, the Phantom 6 makes a bold fashion statement. Its striking black, green, and red colourway, along with textured accents on the Swoosh and heel, ensure it stands out as much for its looks as for its innovation.

“Sure, the boots are comfortable and feel extremely lightweight, but they also look cool and are impossible to ignore on the pitch,” Haaland added.

The Nike Phantom 6 High and Low will be available in Elite, Pro, and Academy models starting June 12 at nike.com and select global retailers.
