Former Liverpool star and Al Ahli forward Roberto Firmino is attracting interest from clubs in England, Turkey, and other Saudi teams, according to talkSPORT.

The 32-year-old joined the Saudi Pro League side in the summer on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool and impressed on his debut, scoring a hat-trick.

However, his goal-scoring form has since declined, drawing criticism from Al Ahli’s fanbase as the team currently sits third in the league.

The Saudi Pro League side is reportedly open to loaning him out in the New Year.

Sheffield United initially expressed interest in Firmino under former manager Paul Heckingbottom, but with Chris Wilder’s return, the player’s potential move to the Blades is uncertain.

While Al Ahli prefers to keep Firmino in Saudi Arabia, Firmino is open to returning to Europe or Brazil. Turkish clubs have shown interest, but Al Shabab, Al Ettifaq, and Al Fateh have all been linked with the Brazilian.

Al Shabab is reportedly the preferred loan destination for Al Ahli, as they still have budget flexibility to cover Firmino’s wages.

Al Ettifaq, managed by Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard, may consider signing him if Al Ahli agrees to cover part or all of Firmino’s salary.
