The Premier League have confirmed the shortlists for the Player and Manager of the Month awards for January 2024.

Last month’s prizes were picked up by Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and Aston Villa bos Unai Emery, but neither are in the running for January. Both awards will pick up brand new winners this time around.

Here’s a closer look at the shortlists.

Liverpool have two nominees this month. Emerging right-back Conor Bradley enjoyed an excellent January, racking up three assists and a goal in just two games, and will among the favourites to win alongside teammate Diogo Jota, who ended January with two goals and three assists in three games.

The return of Kevin De Bruyne from injury was a major talking point in January. The Manchester City man announced his comeback with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory over Newcastle, before he bagged another assist straight after against Burnley.

Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes added two goals of his own, as did Tottenham striker Richarlison, who both helped their teams to unbeaten records in January.

Finishing up the shortlist is Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo, who netted the first hat-trick of his senior career to beat Brighton 4-0.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta kicks things off. The Gunners went two for two in January, including a 5-0 thumping off Crystal Palace that helped them maintain their place in the battle for the Premier League title.

League leaders Liverpool did their best to kick-start Jurgen Klopp‘s farewell tour in style, putting four goals past each of Newcastle, Bournemouth and Chelsea in a truly dominant month.

Pep Guardiola also enjoyed a perfect January, watching on as Man City came from behind to beat Newcastle before seeing off former City captain Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side.

There’s also double representation for Luton as, alongside Adebayo, manager Rob Edwards is up for a prize. The Hatters climbed away from the relegation zone by thumping Brighton after starting the month with a big draw with Burnley.
