Revered as the best and most competitive division in the world, the Premier League, understandably, plays host to some of the best footballers around.

Along with world class forwards, dynamic midfielders and stout defenders, the league is also the home of a number of brilliant goalkeepers too.

Performance levels fluctuate, however, with each going through different peaks and troughs during the course of the season.

90min’s power rankings attempts to pick out the seven most in-form goalkeepers of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

No Alisson in Liverpool’s goal? No problem!

Kelleher has slotted into the Brazilian’s shoes seamlessly, proving he’s far better than just a Carabao Cup goalkeeper, and has helped guide the Reds to four consecutive Premier League victories.

Andre Onana

Andre Onana initially struggled at Manchester United – conceding all sorts of goals but mainly ones that he should have stopped.

However, with a new year has appeared a new Onana, who is starting to look more authoritative in every area imaginable. The Red Devils aren’t delivering the consistent results that his recent performances merit.

It’s fair to say Tottenham Hotspur fans are happy with their club’s new number one.

Guglielmo Vicario has been heroic with a patched-up defence in front of him and quickly won over Spurs supporters with his eye-catching saves, though teams have started testing him more aggressively from corners.

Emiliano Martinez

Much like the rest of the Aston Villa team, Emiliano Martinez is performing to a very, very high standard right now.

The World Cup winner has made a number of key saves for his side already this season and was superb in wins over Manchester City and Arsenal.

David Raya

Raya’s early-season shakiness has worn off, coinciding with Arsenal’s incredible form in 2024.

The Spaniard kept a four clean sheet in seven appearances against Sheffield United, though you could argue that the Spaniard has had very little to do of late because of the club’s superb defending.

Ederson

One of the greatest ball-playing goalkeepers of all time, Ederson is an integral component of Pep Guardiola’s well-oiled treble-winning machine.

The goalkeeper’s distribution is the key reason why he’s so bloody good, and he’s also getting better – albeit slightly – at shot-stopping it seems.

Alphonse Aréola

Few goalkeepers have worked as hard as Alphonse Areola this season.

The Frenchman took over as West Ham’s number one goalkeeper at the beginning of the season, and has more than repaid the faith shown in him by David Moyes. A tremendous performance against Everton – saving nine shots including a penalty – takes him to the top of the tree.
