Paris Saint-Germain have signed French international Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt for £77million.

Luis Enrique’s side have transformed their attack this summer following the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Kolo Muani had been a target for PSG throughout the summer, yet they were only able to agree a transfer with Frankfurt on the final day of the transfer window.

However, PSG managed to get the deal for the 9-cap international done before the deadline without selling Ekitike.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was pleased to get the late deal over the line.

He said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Randal Kolo Muani – a proud Parisien and Frenchman – to Paris Saint-Germain; to his city and his home. We have worked incredibly hard to get this transfer over the line. Randal is a fantastic French international player and is committed to PSG and our project. I’m so excited to see Randal in a PSG jersey, giving everything for the Club.’

Kolo Muani was born in the Paris suburb of Bondy before progressing through the Nantes youth system and signing for Frankfurt in 2022.

‘It’s great to be back where it all began! I was attracted by the club’s project,’ said Randal Kolo Muani. ‘Now I can’t wait to get to work and finally play in these colours.’

The 24-year-old’s fine form in Germany earned him a call up to the France squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Kolo Muani notched his frist goal for this country at the tournament, scoring in the 2-0 semi-final win against Morocco.

The forward started the current season well in the Bundesliga, scoring against Darmstadt in Frankfurt’s opening league game of the season.

Having lost winger Neymar, who has signed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, as well as Messi following his move to Inter Miami, PSG have made a slow start to their Ligue 1 title defence.

Kylian Mbappe scored twice in a 3-1 win against Lens last weekend after the club had drawn their opening two league matches of the season.

But with Mbappe now remaining in Paris following a summer of speculation and Kolo Muani added to the attack, Luis Enrique will surely be expected to improve their fortunes in the near future.
